Position Purpose Supervise the daily operations of the credentialing function and provide guidance and performance feedback to staff

Oversee the credentialing and re-credentialing process for assigned business units
Oversee staff including performance management activities
Serve as the subject matter expert for activities related to credentialing
Investigate and resolve complex credentialing issues
Be an active participant in departmental planning initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and overall departmental effectiveness
Provide training to team members to ensure accurate and timely and credentialing of providers
Prepare materials and facilitate Credentialing Committee meetings
Collaborate on facilitation of Clean Committee process
Monitoring performance to ensure credentialing quality benchmarks are met
Assist with and as needed, represent Credentialing during preparation and reviews associated with audit activity (e.g., NCQA, EQRO, Internal Audit)
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively within and across departmental lines

Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. 3+ years of combined management and provider data management, credentialing or healthcare operations (i.e. claims processing, billing, provider relations or contracting) experience, preferably in a managed care or insurance environment.
