Position Purpose

Oversee the maintenance of accurate financial records and financial analytic functions to monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support sound business decisions. Lead various financial projects and share knowledge with others to build analytics skills and best practices throughout the organization

In this Senior Manager, Finance position, you will

Review, evaluate and interpret complex financial analyses and recommend appropriate actions to senior management, partnering cross-functionally to enable a company-wide understanding of how our members move through the healthcare system to support the best decisions in service to our purpose
Provide management oversight and supervisory duties. Generate efficiencies, manage processes, and hire, develop and motivate staff.
Oversee development and preparation of accurate and timely integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, financial reports and presentations for internal management purposes and external state reporting
Take a primary role in project management activities including development of complex project work plans, preparation of departmental activity plans and updates, and identification of potential issues/ problems for consideration at management level.
Oversee the financial, clinical, and operational business analyses based on information from various data sources, systems, and teams
Oversee the budget and forecast and analyze financial results related to expectations, identifying opportunities and risks and recommending solutions to leadership
Coordinate with centralized accounting team to manage the month end, quarter end, and year end closing process and oversee the completion of financial statements and supporting analysis

Important Note This position is remote/hybrid. However, due to the needs of the business, candidate must be available to work one the following time zones Eastern Standard Time (EST) or Central Standard Time (CST).

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of accounting, financial analysis or finance related experience.
Previous management experience*including responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of staff.
Experience in public accounting, operations, financial analysis, information systems and health care or insurance preferred.
License/Certification CPA preferred.
