Senior Product Manager - Technical


Overview


The Network Services team is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Technical who can own an agile scrum team's product backlog, translate business requirements into technical stories, define clear acceptance criteria, and ensure the team is delivering value in each iteration. The ideal candidate is a proficient scrum product owner that is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.


Role


  • Acts as the product owner for an agile team in scrum ceremonies.
  • Using the Working Backwards method, translates business requirements and customer experiences into features and stories that drive the platform/product roadmap.
  • Creates and elaborates user stories, sets acceptance criteria, and grooms the product backlog.
  • Recommends trade-off decisions on platform product features, scope, and backlog items.
  • Uses runtime metrics of their services in market as a feedback loop into the backlog and balances technical priorities against new feature requests
  • Owns and manages product documentation ensuring features and associated documentation are clear and easily consumable by other engineering teams
  • May participate with the business in customer research to inform platform product feature needs
  • Coordinates with interdependent teams on platform product requirements
  • Keeps close to the design of the user experience and represents the voice of the customer.
  • Reviews product demo against acceptance criteria for the feature or story set.
  • Prepares launches and monitors platform performances, adoption, and operational health for feature sets
  • Supports and participates in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the feature
  • Stays aligned with Go To Market plans for the feature set
  • Identifies issues that will keep the platform features from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements and works with internal teams and customer service to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues


All About You


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related discipline.
  • Relevant experience as a product owner, product manager, or related area.
  • Proficient at grooming user stories, setting acceptance criteria and prioritizing a platform product backlog
  • Knowledge of information technologies in software architecture and design, programming, APIs, security, databases, infrastructure, platform, UI/UX, and cloud.
  • Experience working on enterprise level projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient at building and maintaining strong business relationships.
  • Proficient with MS Office tools.
  • Proficient with project tracking tools such as Rally or JIRA. Familiarity with Aha! Is a plus.

O'Fallon, Missouri: $98,000 - $152,000 USD
