Overview


The PKI Engineering team is looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer to join our Quick Response Force team to assist with assessment, design, implementation, and integration of the acquired entity’s keys & certificates. The Engineer will assist with the process development of key management and delivery to ensure Mastercard processes and technology are employed at the acquired entity. This role will support aspects of the enterprise Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate management, and aspects shared Hardware Security Module (HSM) infrastructures. The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity, highly motivated, and detail oriented.


In This Role, You Will


  • Perform PKI design which will result in the delivery of x.509 certificates in support of Mastercard acquisition projects and infrastructure, which includes on/off-hours support including problem analysis and resolution.
  • Provide certificate support on UNIX, mainframe, and Windows.
  • Lead and participate in complex initiatives and projects, collaborate with business partners, vendor/consulting organizations, and peer-level professionals from other IT disciplines.
  • Independently coordinate, drive, and track tasks related to the acquisition’s integration into our Key Management practices.
  • Review project documentation, including maintaining technical documents and business requirements.


All About You


The ideal candidate for this position should have:


  • Knowledge of HSMs and PKI tools such as OpenSSL and keytool is a plus.
  • Technical experience in cryptography, including the following: PKI, digital certificates, SSL, hashing, and/or encryption techniques.
  • Experience with database queries and SQL.
  • Experience with business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
