Position Purpose Plan, organize, monitor, and oversee programs utilizing cross-functional teams to deliver defined requirements, meet business needs, and strategic objectives. Evaluating current vendor management programs and identifying ways to improve them.

Program Management Responsibilities

Support business department initiatives that promote, quality, safety and cost of care opportunity

Responsible for gathering requirements, creating plans and schedules, managing resources, and facilitate project execution and deployment.

Identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks. Identify requirements, procedures and problems to improve existing processes

Coordinate cross-functional meetings with various functional areas to meet overall stakeholder expectations and business objectives

Provide leadership and effectively communicate project status to all stakeholders

Negotiate with project stakeholders to identify and secure resources, resolve issues and mitigate risks

Vendor Management Responsibilities

Developing and sustaining long-standing relationships with company-approved vendors.

Meeting with suitable vendors to assess their products, inquire about their services, negotiate pricing, and communicate any product or service-related concerns.

Continually monitoring sales trends to determine which products are more popular than others.

Implementing vendor selection programs to ensure that the best vendors are secured.

Conducting interviews with new vendors and informing approved vendors of their responsibilities and obligations.

Demonstrating a bias for action to support vendor improvements, which includes holding vendor partners accountable to operational and deadline targets and working diligently toward them

Strong comfort and facility with using performance dashboard tools to drive action

Collaborating with Strategy, operations, and Finance team to provide guidance on forecasted vendor volumes and partner with Procurement on SLA development

Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, related field, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years project implementation, product or program management experience. Managed care or prescription benefit management experience preferred.
