DUTIES

• Lead a team of developers to provide business and technical expertise in requirements solicitation, system analysis, technical design, programming, and documentation of information systems.
• Support, troubleshoot, and maintain production systems as required, optimizing performance, resolving problems, and providing timely follow-up on identified issues.
• Manage all aspects of the application development lifecycle, including systems analysis, design, development, deployment, maintenance, and enhancements for larger scope projects.
• Understand the functional and technical solution to keep the design and implementation team to deliver outcome. Strike a balance with the need to deliver on a deadline and still meet long term strategic objectives.
• Gain a solid understanding of business requirements to support the development, testing, and production readiness efforts.
• Keep up to date with emerging IT trends and technologies and the industry’s best practices.
• Drive individuals and team structure and hire, develop, and train employees, coach for optimal performance, give team members regular performance feedback and take appropriate corrective action as needed to promote optimal employee performance and low staff turnover.
• Manage conflicting priorities and multiple projects effectively and conduct annual employee performance reviews.
• Provide after-hours work and on-call availability as needed to support deployments or upgrades to production systems to avoid system downtime during business hours.
• Travel required Position requires 10% domestic travel to different Centene locations to attend meeting with team members or upper management, company town hall, training etc.
• Telecommuting permitted Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Electronics Engineering, or related and 5 Years of relevant work experience.

In addition, experience with the following skills is required (1) Using Programming languages Java and go.lang to design, implement and maintain software application based on the company’s needs, working in leveraging these technologies to implement a software application to handle enrollment processing; (2) Using micro-services architecture to respond to business needs and fulfill business requirements utilizing latest architecture trends; (3) Using event store and streaming processing platform including Kafka to design applications such enrollment system; (4) Using cloud computing platform AWS to deploy business applications after testing a production utilization. Applications are now designed as cloud-native applications that leverage AWS.
