The Role


We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. The Manager of the Threat Intelligence team will play a key role in identifying, detecting and disrupting threat activity targeting Centene. The role will lead a team of senior and principal analysts in the execution Threat Intelligence, Threat Hunting, and Active Defense disciplines for the enterprise. The role will have responsibility for the people, process, and technology including strategy, execution, and operational activities of these functions. As such, the Manager will oversee the production of intel reports, lead and prioritize hunt missions and direct the deployment of custom detection and preventative measures. As a member of the Cyber Security leadership team, the role will also contribute to the organization’s overall Cyber Security strategy.


Purpose


Provide day to day direction, conduct Intelligence collection, and analysis in support of tracking active threats to Centene. Ensure proper analytical rigger is followed during the analysis and reporting process. Identity and lead efforts to improve processes and capabilities supporting PIRs. Designs methods to enable the identification, protection against, and detection of cyber threats, contributing to cyber assessments. Introduces novel threat hunting techniques. Provides subject matter expertise to security and technical teams regarding the organization's threat exposure and attack surface.  


Develops and maintains threat intelligence procedures and runbooks.


Contributes to network documentation exists, including operational instructions, asset databases, and issue tracking.


Implements data structures using best practices in data modeling, processes, and technologies.


Contributes to overall solution design.


Manages the hiring and training of new and existing staff, conducts performance reviews, and provides leadership, technical guidance and coaching.


Shares knowledge and develops staff capabilities to strengthen understanding of business issues and best practices.


Develops and communicates organizational objectives; inspires and motivates team members to achieve results.


Performs other duties as assigned.

Additionally you will bring


Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience.


Or in lieu of education and experience, demonstrated work experience and accomplishments applicable to the level, duties and scope of this role

Pay Range $97,000.00 - $179,500.00 per year


Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
