Lead Information Security Engineer, Cloud


Overview


The Cloud Security Engineering team is looking for a lead information security engineer to join our Quick Response Force to assist with the assessment of subsidiaries current state, design solutions for identified gaps, and support implementation and execution. This hands on role will work collaboratively with technical teams to improve security practices and demonstrate compliance to control requirements. In this role you will:


  • Ensure the subsidiary public cloud environments have appropriate security controls in place
  • Provide technical architecture and design direction to internal teams to enhance cloud security posture
  • Assess security configurations and practices to identify risks, define remediation plans, and develop control implementation guidance
  • Define process improvements to gain efficiencies across security domains
  • Provide consultation in legal, technical and regulatory areas that affect information security
  • Maintain technical and procedural documentation


All About You


The ideal candidate for this position should have:


  • Advanced knowledge of information security, risk management, and data privacy concepts and their application
  • Advanced understanding of Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) security practices
  • Good understanding of continuous delivery/continuous integration processes that follow Secure by Design principles
  • Demonstrated technical competency in security engineering based on hands-on experience or relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, and CCAK
  • The ability to develop project plans for complex initiatives
  • The ability to lead project teams and collaborate with business partners and peer level professionals from other IT disciplines
  • National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) competency proficiency levels of advanced in leadership, operational, and professional, to advanced and expert in technical. This role shares KSAs with related NICE work roles:
  • SP-ARC-002, OPM652, Security Architect
  • SP-DEV-002, OPM, 622, Secure Software Assessor
  • OV-SPP-002, OPM751, Cyber Policy and Strategy Planner
