The Role

We are transforming technology and creating a digital evolution that will empower Centene to better serve our members. As a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer (M365/SharePoint) this role will be designing and implementing M365/SharePoint Online solutions based on business needs. This position will also be responsible for developing custom components and solutions using SharePoint Framework and relevant technologies such as Power Platform as well as administering and maintaining SharePoint Online environments for stability and security.

Position Purpose

Manages the technical approach and decisions as it relates to the configuration of software and infrastructure services on the cloud platform. Manages cloud infrastructure as code. Automates deployment and administration. Develops plan to ensure security of cloud components. Partners with the DevOps team to spearhead and lead upgrades, enhancements, and software migrations to drive the successful deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications.

Leads a team of engineers who builds and supports the administration of cloud-based environments.

Establishes and develops code-based CI/CD deployment plans for new and existing infrastructure based on standards and best-practices provided.

Leads and directs the implementation of monitoring solutions that give greater visibility into performance and reliability of cloud environments.

Partners with Development, Network and Security groups and integrate their requirements in all environment build plans.

Ensures the execution and completion of capacity plans to include cloud based deployments.

Leads the development and implementation of design, build, and deploy cloud applications, including large-scale data processing and advanced analytics.

Delivers continuous integration and delivery pipeline and standards by enabling common DevSecOps tooling in cloud environment and providing development teams with the ability to execute builds, run tests, and deploy in automated fashion.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Additionally you will bring

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).

Requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills

Experience with SharePoint Online In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience working with SharePoint Online, including site design and architecture, content management, security, and administration required

Experience with configuration and customization of SharePoint Online features and functionalities required

Experience with SharePoint Online Development SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, HTML required

Experience with SharePoint Administration SharePoint Central Administration, SharePoint Online PowerShell required

Experience with SharePoint Migration SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT), Sharegate required

Experience with creating custom components, web parts, and solutions to extend SharePoint's capabilities and meet specific business requirements required

Experience with Microsoft 365 Integration Microsoft Teams, Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Azure, and Office 365 required

Knowledge of Microsoft 365 collaboration features and services required

Experience with Information architecture and governance Ability to design and implement effective information architecture in SharePoint Online, including site hierarchies, content types, metadata, and search configurations required
