Title And Summary


Director, Product Management


The Global Portfolio Optimization team seeks to accelerate payment card spend activation & usage overall and specifically digital commerce. We collaborate with product, marketing and consulting colleagues with target customers in key countries. Consumers are making digital purchases across a wide range of channels/devices every day. When you join us, you will be a key contributor in driving this evolution.


The Director will have responsibility for leading Portfolio Optimization spend activation and usage initiatives for a multi-billion portfolio segment with a focus on Campaign Measurement. By using analytical thinking, strategic storytelling and cross-functional leadership skills, the Director will drive immediate and longer-term impact.

The Role Of The Director Is To


  • Lead Campaign Measurement from developing strategic roadmap, campaign assessment and delivering thought leadership.
  • Analyze & identify impactful & scalable opportunities to optimize Mastercard’s digital commerce strategy & overall portfolio growth with key issuers.
  • Monitor results, prepare executive reports, & conduct business reviews with internal & external clients. Develop case studies & share best practices globally.
  • Drive initiatives collaborating with market teams and cross-functional partners across Consumer Solutions, Data & Services, Marketing, and Finance.
  • Develop organizational capability of project teams, junior product managers and analysts cross-functionally; attract high quality talent to Mastercard.


Essential Knowledge And Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience with proven track record in product management, product marketing or consulting leading initiatives from strategic planning through tactical execution & measurement.
  • Solid quantitative analysis skills and financial acumen with track record of translating data into compelling insights, market assessments, and funded business cases.
  • Extensive project management & problem-solving skills with a record of success managing multiple projects with external & internal clients simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of issuer portfolio management / consumer marketing: consumer needs/behaviors, industry trends like AI, digital marketing trends, B2B/B2B2C content delivery


Skills/capabilities


  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Forward thinking, creative problem solver with business acumen to drive positive results and innovative product conceptualization.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Pivot table/macros, Powerpoint, Thinkcell
  • Global mindset with international experience and/or multi-lingual capabilities a strong plus.
