Director, Learning & Development, Enterprise Technology Academy


Overview


The Director of Enterprise Technology Academy reporting to the VP, Enterprise Technology Academy—will be responsible for driving strategic tech learning priorities for Engineers at Mastercard. This role will be responsible for partnering closely with key stake holders, understand the learning strategy of the organization and carve out impactful learning solutions for keeping the tech talent updated to solve business problems. Leading the design, development and delivery of learning interventions to upskill and reskill the technologists aligning to business priorities.


The ideal candidate is a strategic leader with a consultative mindset and strong track record of building tech capabilities at large global organizations. A strong technology bent of mind with a flavor of product mindset and solid understanding of technologies and experience working with global tech leaders, understanding their vision and weaving them into meaningful learning offerings and interventions are a must for this position.


Role


Collaborate with cross functional teams, partner with global People & Capability leaders, Talent Learning Consultants, Learning Academies, Tech Leaders, SMEs, Guilds and Tech hubs@ Mastercard to identify strategic learning priorities, understand the technology talent landscape, the technology and tools learning needs and customize content by co-creating solutions in support of a unified Mastercard voice and approach to learning and skill development.


Invent and develop engaging learning experiences and programs (face-to-face, virtual and self-paced) by establishing clear learning objectives and using strong instructional design, content acquisition/development, and learning program delivery skills.


Work closely with guild teams, tech hub partners and business units to understand the tech learning priorities, prioritize them and roll out the same.


Measure the impact and effectiveness of learning programs offered, Create and manage pilots to test new concepts and learn before launching full scale programs.


Manage large-scale global projects with multiple stakeholders and drive data collection/analysis for reporting and insights purposes in areas such as business impact, learning engagement, employee experience and cost effectiveness.


Manage marketing and communication activities to drive engagement and socialize the Academy services, solutions and learning offerings for the org wide technologists.


All About You


Advanced consulting experience with the ability to translate business needs and priorities into deliverable learning objectives.


Have a strong technology orientation and experience working in technology or Prod-tech organizations.


Customer-centric with a seasoned ability to confidently communicate with all levels of leadership.


Advanced program and change management skills required to implement/execute multiple high-priority, high-visibility projects on time and within budget.


Experience in data collection and analysis for business impact reporting.


Proficient in presenting and facilitating to internal/external groups with varying audience sizes and leadership levels.


Partner closely with global tech leaders, SME’s and external vendor partners to carve our best learning experiences.


Experience in designing and implementing learning experiences, programs and initiatives.


As this role serves a geographically and culturally diverse employee base, experience in working with global teams and understanding cultural sensitivities is critical. Candidates will be expected to work flexibly, be agile and nimble, travel as required to be fully effective in this position.
