Overview


Within Mastercard’s Cyber and Intelligence (C&I) Solutions organization the Crypto & Security Innovation program, investigates new ideas and develops world-class solutions for customers across the globe. As part of this work the incumbent will pursue investment and commercializes new products that solve real problems for our customers/consumers at scale following Mastercard’s product practice known as Studio.


This role defines product level strategies, is a communication champion internally/externally to build awareness and excitement and partners with key internal stakeholders to enable sales delivering profitable solutions based on customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market trends. The incumbent will leverage and advance the team’s use of product development and management principles to with an ‘outside in perspective’ and make data driven decisions to successfully build new revenue streams.


Major Accountabilities


New Product & Go-to-Market Execution:


  • Drive the development, maintenance of, and execution against an innovation pipeline and product roadmap.
  • Synthesize strategic priorities into executive summary views (after completing business case and financial models) to demonstrate alignment of corporate vision and clear justification when requesting investment dollars for key initiatives.
  • Lead all facets of delivering a scalable product to market, organizing the right resources to submit patent documentation, build business and market requirements, build/buy/partner analysis, identify product positioning and pricing, and establish comprehensive commercialization and launch plans while promoting product management principles and Studio processes.
  • Display product ownership by driving analysis of product usage and performance reporting as well as overall market and channel level feedback into product improvement and strategic planning discussions.


Product Adoption


  • Seek out opportunities to build key external stakeholder partnerships to expand product adoption with a goal of increasing market share.
  • Drive internal awareness and excitement in selling Mastercard product offerings to traditional ‘card’ customers and in new emerging channels.


Strategy Development


  • Identify market segment opportunities that grow the existing business, drive diversification of revenue, and build new business, then become the driving force behind strategic priorities.
  • Leads cross-functional collaboration to align C&I product strategies to divisional and corporate MasterCard strategy.


Product Optimization


  • Drive strategic approaches based on analysis of the Security and Risk needs of customer segment(s) to recommend short-and-long term strategic direction for a specific and/or multiple lines of businesses.
  • Engages cross-functional teams to identify and qualify product optimization opportunities to increase usage with existing customers.


Analysis


  • Conduct and link market research and qualitative/quantitative analysis of self and others to influence strategy and product prioritization both globally and within region.
  • Drive collaborative discussions with key stakeholders to decide upon addressable market opportunities that combat competitive forces and promote or create new distinctive competencies.


Subject Matter Expertise And Thought Leadership


  • Promote C&I by seeking out and driving participation at thought leadership and market presence opportunities (e.g. speaking engagements and sponsorship opportunities at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events).
  • Consult cross-functional teams on related new products, customers, and/or prospect initiatives by leveraging product and market level subject matter expertise.


Required Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience commercializing payments/technology solutions (C&I related background preferred).
  • Extensive experience in new product development and management with a proven track record of business/market/financial analysis, business case development, and project management skills to execute on successful product strategies (using plans/roadmaps) that meet market needs, gain market share, and/or extend into new segments.
  • Strong customer advocacy and proven relationship building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills, with the ability to foster open communication. Written documentation to develop sales enablement, operational, and process materials to scale.
  • Experience in working simultaneously on multiple deliverables and prioritizing appropriately to manage organizational and customer deadlines.
  • Strength in self-motivation and experience in cross-functional team building, with a proven track record of promoting change and collaboration, resolving conflict, and leading initiatives by influencing others.


Travel, as needed, typically less than 10% (depending on where the incumbent is located)


Open to remote workers, with additional travel for in-person engagement (only on an as required basis).

Pay Ranges


O'Fallon, Missouri: $145,000 - $224,000 USD


Atlanta, Georgia: $145,000 - $224,000 USD


New York City, New York: $174,000 - $269,000 USD


Purchase, New York: $167,000 - $258,000 USD
