Position Purpose Designs, developments, and deployments of the enterprise architectural software systems. Defines system solutions based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms. Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery. Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies.  

Leads application architecture vision for services using technology stacks with a core focus on security, resiliency, scalability, supportability, and performance

Assists with defining requirements and architecture necessary to meet business objectives

Investigates and advises on third-party integrations to develop requirements and architecture associated with external interfaces, protocols, and interoperability with other applications

Collaborates with product and engineering teams to design and build services that meet key product and infrastructure requirements

Produces both high-level and detailed design for platform and product services

Authors clean, scalable, modular, secure, well-structured, and testable code as needed

Designs and implements microservices with thoughtfully defined Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)

Ensures deployed software can run safely with the proper level of instrumentation and telemetry

Owns designed software/service components from ideation through delivery

Communicates architecture decisions, roadblocks, and timelines to stakeholders

Reviews system(s) code and provides feedback to engineering teams

Provides mentoring, coaching and skill development to engineering teams

Performs other duties as assigned

Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).

Requires 2 – 4 years of related experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills

2+ years of Architect exp required

Experience with Microservices architecture, event driven architecture and/or SOA preferred

Cloud Experience Preferred

Salesforce experience preferred

Soft Skills

Intermediate - Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty

Intermediate - Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Intermediate - Ability to work independently
