As the Business Intelligence Report Developer at Spirit, we are looking for a data driven technologist who will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting reporting, analytics, and solutions to meet the information needs of the Company. We are a data driven culture with a customer centric mentality and are seeking a Team Member with the capability to meet with our business units to better understand requirements for reports and dashboards so you can design and develop the right solution while ensuring accuracy and consistency across our reporting functions. This team is also responsible for effective response to reporting requests, problems, and special/ad hoc needs and works closely with Marketing, Airport Operations, HR, and IT departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, updates and optimizes dashboards and reports to meet business requirements across the organization.
- Work closely with Data Engineering Team to determine strategy for data extraction and report design.
- Work with Data Services team to design and develop tabular cubes/models for optimal performance and ease of reporting for the business teams.
- Evaluate business requirement and help define problems and develop solutions in a timely manner.
- Document business requirements and solutions while provide support for creation of end user documentation.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment of other engineers, analysts, and management to meet aggressive goals and high-quality standards as it relates to dashboard development, report development, and alerting and monitoring.
- Ability to work independently on your assigned work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are often tight.
- Deep dive into data to find trends and problems. Answer key business questions using SQL, Excel, Power BI and other data manipulation tools.
- Train business users on leveraging reports and dashboards using Power BI.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs or technical developments).
Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience as a BI Developer, Report Developer, Dashboard Developer or similar role
- 3+ years of working knowledge with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, DAX Queries, etc). Must have a deep understanding of Power BI Desktop/Premium version, Microsoft cloud technologies including Azure, DAX and SQL Queries.
- 2+ years of working knowledge and experience with relational and dimensional database structures, principles, with a solid understanding of OLAP, ETL processes and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills
