What Will Your Job Look Like?

The General Manager – AAA Taxi will focus on supporting this specific locations needs (AAA Taxi) with primary leadership oversight, which could include new business and expansions, project implementations, and efficiency initiatives.    

This position will partner with existing leadership to knowledge transfer, recommend organizational structure, implement innovative controls and processes and will work in collaboration with MTM support departments, and Transportation Providers to ensure the most appropriate and cost-effective delivery of transportation services to support the AAA and MTBA lines of business.

What You’ll Do:

  • General Oversight
    • Provide support and accomplishment of duties as required
    • Guidance, best practices, and operations assistance to division and staff that are in need of support
    • Provide support to improve service performance, client relations, financial results
    • Direct reports will include Maintenance, Fleet, Safety, Dispatch and Driver operations
    • Ensure regular interaction with transportation providers, facilities, and internal departments to ensure safe and quality transportation services are being delivered
    • Gain knowledge of and understand all aspects of the Clients and the contracts supported
    • Follow through on service issues, troubleshooting problems and concerns, complaints and education

  • Special Projects
    • Assist Executive Leadership team with process improvement projects and company rollout of initiatives
    • Maintain visibility into all planned and ongoing projects, and ensure that the impacts of these activities on the business/organization are communicated to the appropriate business stakeholders in a timely manner
    • Maintain a thorough knowledge of MTM departments and compliance programs 
    • Provide support for questions or concerns that arise and address in an appropriate, timely manner
    • Conduct and process disciplinary actions and terminations as needed
    • Work across all departments to ensure the cost of transportation service delivery is within the budget
    • Ensure business outcomes and contract goals are defined, measured and met
  • Division Implementation
    • Organize and coordinate all activities required for successful division implementation (staffing, administration, and training)
    • Interface with client, local leadership team, and support team
    • Ensure proper staffing and training
    • Contractual compliance
    • Track and maintain budget
    • Ensure service excellence day one (1) of divisions operation

What You’ll need:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing or providing key leadership support of Transit, Livery or similar large transportation operations in contract environments
  • Experience with contract implementation
  • Experience establishing and managing all aspects of performance management
  • Experience managing complex contracts with SLA’s and government compliance
  • Experience managing a large team of both direct and indirect reports including remote workers
  • Experience managing employees at all levels of the organization 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
  • Certified Project Management Professional or Associate Certification desired (PMI) desired
  • Experience working with Medicaid and/or State programs preferred
  • Strong leadership, mentoring & coaching skills

Salary Min: $115,000

Salary Max: $150,000
