Summary: The Tax Administrator is responsible for assisting members of the Corporate Tax Department in processing tax reports, payments, mail, and returns, maintaining the tax compliance calendar, importing returns and support into document storage, correspondence, and other tax-related duties. Requirements include the ability to work independently, excellent communication and organizational skills.
Specific Job Functions:
- Sorting, scanning, and distributing incoming mail
- Maintain Tax Notice Control Log: scanning and routing the incoming notices to the appropriate team member and ensure the notices are completed and finalized in accordance with policies.
- Coordinate obtaining signatures from officers of the companies on tax returns and reports
- Processing tax returns by attaching required schedules and forms and making necessary copies, importing returns into document storage, and marking off the calendar
- Mailing tax returns and other filings and correspondence, including certified mail requirements
- Maintain and manage Tax Calendar to ensure all returns are completed by staff within filing deadlines
- Roll over Tax Calendar monthly
- Maintain and update corporate banking information for tax payments by jurisdiction
- Submit tax payments to numerous jurisdictions together with proof of payment for ACH payments
- Provide accounting and treasury with support of all outgoing tax payments and confirmation documentation
- Maintain and manage documents for the electronic document storage system
- Manage archiving and record-keeping of tax returns and documents with offsite storage facility
- Coordinate/assist with other projects as needed

Qualifications: 3 to 5 years experience.

- Proficiency in Excel and Word required
