SUMMARY  

The Financial Analyst maintains financial records and is responsible for the development, analysis and interpretation of statistical and financial information to appraise operating results in terms of costs, revenue, net income and trends. Also identifies opportunities for increased revenue, cost reduction, and streamlining of processes.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provides financial support to the Corporate Finance team and Support Services teams to meet goals and objectives as defined by ECP.    
  • Works with these teams to review financial results, research and explain variances and adjust where necessary. 
  • Responsible for the monitoring of monthly and YTD financial performance. 
  • Prepares statistical information and other reports for management; assists the Corporate Finance team in forecasting, budgeting, analysis and reporting. 
  • Attends meetings with management and department staff to review and discuss financial matters, maintaining strict confidentiality. 
  • Oversee and prepare various reports for submission at month end. 
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting and other financial areas to drive success, analyze variances, identify and solve source of any issues 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization. 
  • Experience with financial planning systems such as Adaptive Planning, Hyperion or others. 
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities. 
  • Experience within a corporate finance environment, specifically monthly close, forecast and budget cycles. 
  • Strong Excel and data management skills 
  • Experience and evidence of strong analytical skills 

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

  • Minimum Required: B.S. or B.A. in Finance or Accounting 
  • Minimum Required:  2-4 years of related experience  

LICENSES AND CREDENTIALS 

  • Minimum Required: None 

 

SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY  

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook 
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP experience a plus
