SUMMARY
Seeking an experienced communications manager responsible for helping develop and tactically execute internal, corporate, and external communications that engage and inform employees and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Communications, this dynamic individual plays a key role in a team working to improve EyeCare Partners culture and internal communications, enhancing the ECP reputation, shaping meaningful relationships with media outlets and driving business goals. This role requires exceptional communication skills, creative thinking and attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute on communications strategy and plans that support the EyeCare Partners (ECP) vision, goals and objectives both internal and external communications for the company and its eye care practices.
- Contribute to, support and help sustain ECP's employee and external communications strategy and tactics.
- Develop and deliver content that keeps employees informed and engaged in organizational goals, initiatives and direction. This includes supporting the company’s focus on diversity, equity and inclusion in partnership with leadership.
- Work with ECP leaders to help facilitate effective communication and understanding between departments.
- Support leadership communications tactics, including developing key messages, talking points and presentations for internal and external opportunities.
- Manage and support relationships with media, community groups and other stakeholders in local markets and ensure that the company's brand is consistently represented in media coverage, events and other initiatives.
- Support and collaborate on content strategy and storytelling to build strong engagement with relevant stakeholders.
- Adhere to and champion EyeCare Partners branding standards for the ECP brand and all owned and operated brands.
- Monitor and strategically use brand tracking and communications measurement tactics and tools to support effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Manage agency coordination and budgeting in collaboration with the team.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Required: B.S. or B.A. in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field. A graduate degree is a plus.
- 6-8+ years of experience in strategic internal and external communications for an organization, with a proven track record of effective storytelling across diverse stakeholders.
- Strong writing and creative thinking skills. Exceptional ability to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, including executives and employees.
- Strong project management, time management and organization skills.
- Understanding of today's internal and external communications channels, including digital media and best practices, as well as experience across digital and social media platforms.
- Passionate about employee engagement and culture shaping.
- Prior work in health care or fast-growing environments is a plus.
