Position Summary

As a Treasury Management Intern, you will be exposed to a hands-on experience related to the sale and support of commercial cash management products and services. These products and services are typically used by Busey Bank’s largest commercial customers who depend on these services to securely manage cash inflows and outflows from their deposit accounts. You will be introduced to treasury management products such as Commercial Online Banking, ACH Origination, Check & ACH Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Lockbox, Sweep Accounts, and Commercial Credit Cards. You will also assist in supporting our Metro East treasury management client portfolio, which involves the sale & servicing of treasury management products, communicating with customers, researching existing commercial relationships, analyzing product pricing and customer profitability, and conducting on-site treasury management reviews with local Relationship Managers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform research and reviews related to new and existing treasury management customers.
• Document and input requests for new treasury management products & services.
• Document and input requests for enhancements or adjustments to existing products & services.
• Review client relationships and create treasury management review documents to be presented to clients in a treasury management review session.
• Participate in in-person treasury management review sessions with commercial clients.  (These sessions will be led by a designated Relationship Manager, Treasury Management Executive, and other commercial partners.)

• Assist commercial customers with a planned transition to a new commercial online banking platform.

• Assist with the analysis and review of existing commercial customer pricing and make recommendations for future pricing within our account analysis billing system.
• Assist with the planned introduction of a new commercial credit card program.

• Participate in e-learning and classroom training as assigned.

• Attend Weekly Commercial Sales Pipelines Meetings
• Partner with Relationship Managers and other departments/associates to expand your understanding of holistic Busey services – all with the intent to best serve our customer.
• Will assist in special projects as assigned.

Education and Training:

• Currently enrolled in undergraduate studies with a concentration in: Business, Finance, or related field.

• Requires knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software products.
